 hrough three captivating films: The Nomad’s Land: Van Gujjars\, The Wome
 n of Almora\, and Bahi.\n\nThe Women of Almora is about the fading art of 
 tweed making which was revived by the Almora women and how they are transf
 orming their communities through this. The film The Nomad’s Land: Van Gu
 jjar showcases the rich cultural heritage and lifestyle of the Van Gujjar 
 community in Uttarakhand. Finally\, the film Bahi explores the ancient tra
 dition of handwritten family records maintained by Teerth Purohits in Hari
 dwar\, showcasing its significance in preserving ancestral lineages and it
 s potential decline in the digital age.\n\nThese films offer the viewer an
  insider’s perspective into the region's rich traditions\, art forms\, a
 nd communities that practise them. The session will conclude with a short 
 Q&amp\;A session with renowned filmmaker\, Bharatbala to discuss the inspi
 ration behind these films and the power of storytelling in preserving cult
 ural heritage.
