 iendly pigment-making session on extracting colours from botanical sources
 . This is an opportunity to slow down\, take a close look at colours in th
 eir natural form\, and witness them transform on paper! During this worksh
 op\, participants will learn to extract inks and pigments from select bota
 nical sources using simple techniques.\n\nThere will be demonstrations of 
 these techniques\, followed by guided hands-on colour-making by everyone a
 ttending. Upon making the colours\, each participant will get to paint wit
 h the extracted inks and pigments on paper and take home their artworks at
  the end of the session.\n\nThis event is in conjunction with Paper Garden
 s: Art\, Botany\, and Empire.\n\n‘Paper Gardens’ marks the continuatio
 n of a sustained\, years-long collaboration between MAP and Impart — an 
 online platform fostering greater public engagement with the art and cultu
 ral histories of South Asia.
