DESCRIPTION:Join us for a guided walk of Eckart Muthesius and Manik Bagh 
 – Pioneering Modernism in India for insights into the art and architectu
 re of the Manik Bagh Palace\, Indore. The walk will highlight rare\, vinta
 ge photographs of Manik Bagh by architect Eckart Muthesius\, portraits and
  photographs by Man Ray and Emil Leitner\, alongside lesser-known watercol
 our paintings and design studies by Muthesius.\n\nAbout the Exhibition:\n\
 nIn 1929\, the residential palace Manik Bagh (trans. Gem Garden or Ruby Ga
 rden) was commissioned by the then Maharaja of Indore\, Yashwant Rao Holka
 r II (1908-1961) and his wife\, Maharani Sanyogita (1914-1937). When compl
 eted in 1933\, it set a precedent for introducing western modern aesthetic
 s into Indian architecture and culture.\n\nVisit this exhibition to learn 
 more about Manik Bagh\, an icon of Modernism in India that merges architec
 ture\, art\, design and crafts\, carrying the spirit of Bauhaus.\n\nThis g
