 ing. This workshop is in conjunction with our ongoing exhibition\, Chay Re
 ds\, Ferrous Black: The Untold Stories of Indian Trade Textiles in Sri Lan
 ka\, featuring kalamkari treasures like 18th-century palampores and the el
 egant Somana Tupppotiya\, highlighting not only their functionality\, but 
 also their intricate designs. \nThis programme offers a two-part immersiv
 e experience - a screening of independent short films from The Sari Series
 : An Anthology of Drape\, followed by a hands-on draping workshop inspired
  by the traditional styles of the Coromandel Coast. \nCome celebrate the 
 legacy of Indian sari draping and discover the stories woven into each fol
 d. \nThe Sari Series: An Anthology of Drape\, is a critically acclaimed c
 ultural resource. As a catalyst of change\, it has been recognised for shi
 fting the urban perception of the sari drape through its digital platforms
 . Documenting India’s regional sari drapes through short film\, this ope
 n resource has a strong community of digital users and support from public
  and private institutions\, including the MoMA (NY) and Design Museum (Lon
 don). This non-profit project\, created by Border&amp\;Fall\, with the lea
 d patronage of Good Earth\, includes over 80 how-to drape films and 3 inde
 pendent art films.
