DESCRIPTION:Join us for an afternoon of poetry\, discussion and learning wi
 th anti-caste Dalit poet Daniel Sukumar who will share his work\, and delv
 e into the tools he uses to make art. Daniel’s poetry focuses on the liv
 ing truths and harsh realities of caste in today’s world. They offer soc
 ial commentary on what it means to simply exist in modern India. If you ar
 e looking to explore the art of self\, understand caste and social narrati
 ves\, and its relationship with mental health this is for you. \n\nThe pr
 ogramme is developed in collaboration with Deaf Bookwave\, a book-club cre
 ated by Deaf people\, for Deaf people. It is a space where the Deaf commun
 ity can come together to read\, discuss\, and express emotions\, thoughts\
 , and experiences through books and sign language. Deaf Bookwave believes 
 that Deaf people deserve access to stories\, literature\, and emotional ex
 pression in their own language and culture. The book club encourages Deaf 
 readers to explore different genres\, share personal reflections\, and con
 nect with others in a fully Deaf-friendly environment. Deaf Bookwave hosts
  regular book discussions\, emotional sharing circles\, creative sessions\
 , and more. Every Deaf voice matters\, and every story brings us closer to
 gether. At Deaf Bookwave\, we celebrate Deaf identity\, Deaf expression\, 
 and the power of storytelling.
