 ject’s history or intent? What are the stories a museum’s collection c
 an inspire a filmmaker to create? With Unsupervised: a memory playground\,
  filmmaker Naveed Mulkhi takes seven objects from MAP’s collections to g
 o on journeys off the beaten path. \n\nAs he describes it: “It started 
 as a blank canvas. A simple exercise\, to look through the immense collect
 ion and see what could inspire. I couldn't then tell why exactly\, but the
 se seven pieces turned from endless shadows into bursting light. Each one 
 is unique\, each one unaware of the other\, each one an island. Yet they a
 re also a continent\, masses of land perfectly fitting together. Trauma an
 d triviality merged through many knots\, neatly tied together in the endle
 ss tapestry of art. It started as a blank canvas. It now stands as a playg
