DESCRIPTION:How do the materials we work with shape the stories we tell abo
 ut ourselves?\n\nIn this workshop\, artist Riya introduces participants to
  'Botanical Beings'\, beginning with a conversation around her practice\, 
 participants will look closely at her work before creating their own works
  using preserved flowers. Working slowly and intuitively\, the session inv
 ites participants to engage with the materials through observation\, refle
 ction\, and play\, while exploring making as a practice of presence and ca
 re.\n\nTogether\, participants will consider how the ways we engage with t
 he world can shape what we create\, and how the works we make can become r
 eflections of our own ways of seeing and being.\n\nThis programme is exclu
 sively for 18–25 year olds.\n\nThis session is conducted as part of our 
 engagements for the MAP Youth Collective. The MAP Youth Collective is a co
 mmunity for young people (18-25 year olds) to engage with the arts and cul
 ture sector. The collective is for\, of and by young people — to explore
  our shared identities and interests through art.
