  is no longer with us\, his legacy continues to inspire and influence the 
 world of art history. \n\nOne of the leading Indian art historians\, Prof
 essor BN Goswamy was a Professor Emeritus of Art History at the Panjab Uni
 versity\, Chandigarh where he also played a pivotal role in the developmen
 t of the Museum of Fine Arts.\n\nHis work covered a wide range of themes a
 nd has significantly influenced thinking on Indian painting. He was especi
 ally known for his scholarship on Indian miniatures and courtly painting\,
  in particular Pahari paintings\, a subject that he wrote extensively on.
