 e Française Bangalore and part of our series ‘Femme: Beneath the surfac
 e’\, which aims to spotlight an emerging generation of French storytelle
 rs\, each dissecting characters that embody the idea of a woman – layere
 d\, disoriented and probing.\n\nSet against the backdrop of contemporary F
 rance – where questions of class\, identity\, and belonging remain urgen
 t and unresolved – these films trace the quiet resistance and raw intros
