Young voices on art, society and change

See, Think, Wonder brings together artworks in the MAP collection and outcomes from the museum’s recently piloted Teen Takeover programme to reflect upon what makes art socially relevant and reexamine how we engage with art. The three interrelated, intersecting sections of the exhibition present a lateral narrative that can be explored in any order, with impressions and ideas building upon, challenging and complementing each other.

Teen Takeover @ MAP, facilitated in collaboration with Kolkata based arts organisation ThinkArts, involved over 30 teenagers in active cultural dialogue to explore how young people view artworks in a museum and what stories they find therein. Connecting their observations with general ruminations on the theme, this exhibition seeks to remind us that our engagement with art can be inspiring, provoking and transformational – now, more than ever. We hope it resonates with you.
