Jamawar textile fragment with a paisley pattern and floral motifs.

Jamawar is a special type of shawl made in Kashmir where the brocaded parts are woven in similar threads of silk or wool. Most of the designs seen today are floral, with the kairi (i.e. the paisley) as the predominant motif.
